A typical day of activities might include the following:
Computer Learning –We have many educational programs for children to use as well as a number of games for those times when your child just needs to play.
Free Play –Children are allowed to freely explore their environment. Playground equipment, puzzles, books, toys, and coloring books are available for exploration.
Movement – We work on the development of gross and fine motor skills. Gross motor activities include: games, blocks, dancing, pretend play, ride-on toys, etc. Fine motor activities include: painting, cutting, drawing, writing, gluing, etc.
Story Time – Books are very important to us and we share our excitement about books with your children every day.
Arts and Crafts –Both children and staff enjoy doing this together. The projects usually take on a holiday or seasonal theme.
Naptime or Quiet Time – All children need some time during the day to wind down and rest. The younger children nap while the older children are allowed to browse through books or do a quiet activity.
Music Time – We will either sing along with musical videos or make music with the various instruments we have available.
TV Time – Our TV will not be on until after 5:00 / 5:30 PM. On rainy days we may watch a movie when we can’t go outside to play.
